Template:DISPLAYTITLE
This template is a simple wrapper for the MediaWiki magic word DISPLAYTITLE. It allows you to specify a custom display title for a page without changing the actual page name (and thus the URL). This is particularly useful on binaryoption.wiki for formatting page titles that need to differ from their technical names – for example, to adjust capitalization or remove undesired characters such as underscores.
Usage
Place the magic word on your page by calling this template with the desired display title as its parameter. For example:
This will display “60‑Second Options Trading” as the page title, even if the page’s URL uses a different (canonical) name.
Important Notes
- Be sure to use a colon (:) after DISPLAYTITLE – for example, use rather than
.
- The title provided should match the page’s canonical form aside from permitted formatting (e.g., italics, case changes).
- Although using this template is supported for backward compatibility, it is recommended to use the magic word directly when possible.
